Each year the ACT assessment helps more than one million high school students develop post-secondary educational plans and helps thousands of high schools, colleges, and universities meet the needs of their students.  The ACT includes five tests of educational development, as well as an interest inventory and student profile section.

Students at Jewell High School are encouraged to take the ACT test during the Spring semester of their junior year or during the summer preceding their senior year.  Students who wish to improve their scores may retake the test later in the fall of their senior year, still in time to be used for scholarship or college application purposes.

The ACT test is scheduled individually by students, who may register for the test by mail or on line.  Registration packets are available in the  counselor's office, as are practice tests and other information to help prepare for the test.
